SDL-H1 Step-by-Step Installation Guide

1. Install the Latch: Begin by fitting the latch into the door edge. Ensure it sits flush and the mechanism moves freely.

2. Fasten the Screws: Secure the latch in place using the provided screws, ensuring it is firmly fixed.

3. Set the Handle Direction: Loosen the screw on the handle.

   • If your door opens to the left, rotate the handle to the left.
   • If your door opens to the right, rotate the handle to the right. Tighten the screw again to secure the handle in the chosen direction.

4. Install the Spindle/Shaft: Insert the spindle or shaft through the latch. This connects both sides of the lock together.

5. Fit the U-Clip: Attach the U-clip over the spindle and ensure that the arrow on the U-clip is always pointing down.

6. Insert the Screw Stub: Slide the screw stub into its designated position.

7. Place the Waterproof Rubber Gasket: Place the gasket over the exterior escutcheon (front plate) to prevent water ingress.

8. Attach the Exterior Escutcheon: Position the exterior escutcheon on the outside of the door, aligning it with the shaft and latch.

9. Fit the Interior Escutcheon: Place the interior escutcheon on the inside of the door, aligning it with the exterior plate.

10. Install Another Waterproof Rubber Gasket: Place another gasket where specified, ensuring both sides are protected against moisture.

11. Secure the Fixed Screws: Use the fixed screws to attach both escutcheons together through the door. Tighten firmly.

12. Adjust the Interior Handle Direction: Loosen the interior handle screw. Set the handle to the left for left-opening doors, or right for right-opening doors. Tighten the screw once the direction is decided.

13. Connect the Cables: Connect the front and rear wires together. Ensure all connections are snug.

14. Secure the Interior Escutcheon: Use the provided screws to firmly fasten the interior escutcheon to the door.

15. Install the Final Screw: Insert and tighten the final screw to ensure all components are held securely.

16. Insert the Batteries: Place the appropriate batteries into the battery compartment following the polarity markings.

17. Reset and Initialise the Lock: Long-press the reset button for more than 5 seconds. Then, on the keypad, enter 000# to initialize your new lock.

18. Attach the Battery Cover: Slide or snap the battery cover into place to protect the battery compartment.

19. Installation Completed: Your SDL-H1 Smart Door Lock is now installed and ready for use. Test the handle and locking functions to ensure everything operates smoothly.
